Game Board
The board is designed for easy-to-use and understandable mechanics.
Each player has their own training knights track and hire workers spaces.
The board is broken down into zones to be user-friendly on where your workers need to go.
Game Components

Unique Workers: Knights
At your disposal are two different types of workers: knights and regular workers.
Your knights must decide whether to complete quests, fill orders, or compete in combat tournaments.
Their main functions are earning gold and victory points.

Unique Workers: Regular Workers
Your regular workers are tasked with gathering resources and turning them into the equipment that will allow your knights to succeed.
Balancing your work force is one of the many challenges in Hastilude.

Resource Tokens
Hastilude features five different resources. The three basic resources are wood, stone, and leather.
The two advanced are copper and iron.
Resources allow you to craft the equipment knights need, like armor, shields, and weapons.

Quest Cards
Quest cards are one of the two main ways to score victory points in Hastilude.
If you can meet or exceed the necessary requirements you can send your knights out on quests and return with those much needed victory points.

Order Cards
Almost everything you do in Hastilude will cost you gold. Using your knights to fill the orders of the king is the best way to earn that gold.
You will need gold to hire more workers, train more knights, and upgrade your knights.
The balance between using your knights to earn gold or using your knights to earn victory points is one of the fun challenges of Hastilude.

The Hastiludes
The third main function of your knights is to enter the fighting tournaments or “Hastiludes” and go to battle against the best knights of the land.
Winning in the Hastilude can earn you both victory points and gold, but beware, victory is rarely guaranteed. The opponent shown here is the toughest in the land and has never lost a fight.

Shields
Here is the level I shield. It may be the weakest shield in the game, but it takes just a mere two wood to caft this shield.

Armor
This level III armor is the best you can craft. It costs you a considerable amount of resources, but it will aid your knight in all his future adventures.

Weapons
The level II weapon is one of the most versatile in the game. Any level knight can yield it and it will hold its value all the way to the end.

The Knights
The knights in Hastilude range from level I to level V. The level IV knight here will accomplish most of what you set out to do.
He will be a master at completing quests and if he is well equipped, should fare quite well in the Hastiludes.
